Appropriate Behavior

It is important that you are aware of our expectations from your children as Wingate*Kirkland campers. What may be considered acceptable behavior in some homes and communities, may not be acceptable in our Community if we are to continue to care for other people’s children with the same concern, interest, and commitment to safety.

It is essential that you communicate to your children that we will not be able to accept behaviors such as:

  • Bullying
  • Violence
  • Possession of weapons
  • Repeated profanity
  • Disrespect
  • Bigotry
  • Homophobic comments
  • Inappropriate sexual behavior
  • Drug and alcohol use
  • Any other unsafe behaviors that are potentially harmful to themselves or others

Campers must understand that a consequence of their behavior can mean the loss of this program. Our demonstrated interest is to offer only pleasant memories. It is not our intention to exclude any child. However, that need may unfortunately arise.

When a camper is dismissed, no refund will be given for any unused program costs. All costs associated with a camper’s departure from Camp will be the responsibility of the camper and their family.

It is important to discuss in detail your expectations of your child(ren) and that we are, as parents and camp management, in total agreement.
