Communicating with Your Camper

Phone Calls

We believe that open communication is an essential part of our community, and that children should be allowed to speak with their families. However, we have found that calls from home can make the transition into Camp difficult for some campers. In an effort to assist all campers to adapting and adjusting to Camp life and routines,  we will not allow any phone calls until the 7th day of each session.  The phones will be installed at the Dining Hall, and calls will begin on Wednesday, July 3rd at 8:00am (First Session) and Sunday, July 28th at 12:30pm (Second Session).

Families are welcome to call the office at any time to speak with Sandy, Will and Daria. We are happy to have a conversation with you about your child’s experience and happiness. We can be reached at 508.362.3798.

Starting July 3rd at breakfast and July 28th at lunch, families may call the dining hall pay phones during meals to speak with a camper.

Meal times are 8-8:30 AM, 12:45-1:15 PM and 6-6:30 PM. Many people try to call in during these times, so we ask that conversations be kept short to minimize busy signals.

Weekend Schedule: Saturday dinner is from 5:30-6 PM, Sundays are “Sleepy Sundays” and phones do not open until lunch which is from 12:30-1 PM, Sunday dinner is from 5:30-6 PM.

Dining Hall Pay Phone Numbers:

  • (508) 362-3282
  • (508) 362-2913

The strategy that most campers and families have found successful is to arrange a time in advance for a phone call, and then the camper calls home at that time.

Campers are not allowed to bring cell phones to camp. One of the goals of camp is to learn to free oneself of some material items in exchange for the group living experience. Please help us in maintaining this environment by being sure that your child leaves their cell phone at home.

Mail

All campers love to get mail. Please write early and often. A letter waiting for your child in their mailbox when they arrive is especially helpful. When writing to your camper please address your correspondence like this:

This service also includes photos from camp that you can view at home. We make every effort to upload photos to the Camp Gallery every 24 hours.

  • Parents may also create guest email/photo accounts for friends and other family members.
