Founded in 1957 by Joel Wolfson and David Silverman, Camp W*K is a co-ed, overnight camp for children ages 7 – 15 that offers a unique experience. It is a place where campers are inspired by community, as much as they are by the beautiful backdrop that is Cape Cod.
We are indeed a traditional camp in many ways, staying true to old fashioned values. And like it was 60 years ago – W*K is not a “plugged in” camp.
Some of our new traditions have grown from our belief that children learn better and are more enthusiastic when they get to choose what they learn. We think our Daily Choice program is one of the most unique ideas anywhere in camping today, and we offer a full range of traditional camp activities and some zany stuff like Power Walk, Nature You Can Eat, Tennis Baseball, Zombie Hunters, Balloon Animal Hospital, How to Train a Dragon, and Ethical Dilemmas.
Added to these great activity choices is the fact that children are surrounded by nature and among people who really care about them. This is how we have such – as they say – happy campers!
